Less than Jake Pezcore: Mastered by the Workhouse studio in 94. The band formed in 1992 as a power pop trio with a heavy punk influence, a sense of humor, and a fixation with Pez candy, Less Than Jake metamorphosed into a ska-inspired punk band with the addition of several members from 1993 to 1995. Vocalist and guitarist Chris Demakes, bassist Shaun, and drummer/lyricist Vinnie Fiorello were the first incarnation of the group, based in Gainesville, FL; after Shaun became the group's roadie, however, he was eventually replaced by Roger Manganelli, who picked up bass just to join the band. During 1993-1994, the group added their first horn player, Jessica, and soon…Interstellar grains started out as a solo project but became more than that when members from the extremely experimental "Trip" and "Vaccum tree head"joined in to make one of the bay area's most psychedelic rock band.Rich Corny's fusion guitars with liquid melodies,Justin Markovits's tight rythmic compositions deriving from funk and jazz,Charles Lloyd's eastern influences, acoustic guitars and occasional vocals ,Galen Stagner's intense and influencial bass playing and Mike De La Cuesta's screaming guitar tones and idealistic visions.Together with the help of a few other great musicians we are ready to create and experiment with all styles of music, having absolutely no boundaries .INTERSTELLAR GRAINS. Featuring the Stanyard brothers, bassist Jonathon and guitarist Landon as well as drummer Brad Gilbert and guitarist Brian McKee, Aftermage produced one extended EP entitled 'Gore' in their lifetime which included a cover of The Misfit's 'Halloween', a major influence of this band. By the time late 2001 rolled around, Aftermage started to fall apart and Landon defected from Aftermage and landed in the metal upstarts Sora in the Fall of 2001, effectively ending Aftermage's run in the underground. Recorded in 1999 at the Workhouse studio in San Jose Ca.Reachdown:was born on January 25, 1999 in Northern California. In its beginning stages, Reachdown concentrated on its sound and style, pulling from and listening to all genres of music. Everything from Prince to Pantera has helped to create the diverse and versatile band they are today. The album 'Karmageddon' incorporates a sound that embellishes the pioneering approach to recording music of the 60's, the hard rock anthems of the 70's, the atmospheric English post-punk sound of the 80's, and the heavy crunch attitude of the 90's. Karmageddon is a welcomed return to rock-oriented albums done with an original fresh grandeur.Despite losing 3 of the original 'Karmageddon' members in late 2003, Reachdown would prove to be an entity that would not die as easily. After dealing with the unfortunate loss that would have would have laid to rest any other rock act, like a phoenix from the ashes, Reachdown rose again, with new fervor, direction and talent.Finishing touches ,drums some guitars and vocal were all done at the Workhouse studio, they did the best they could do with what they had. Karmageddon was also Mastered at the Workhouse Studio.Nostic: was formed in the spring in 2003. We started in the garage playing covers. The summer of 2003 saw the joining of five friends, some has worked together previously, and some working together for the first time. In the beginning these five friends collaborated casually, creating music never intended for an audience. By the end of 2003 the newly formed band had written and demoed enough music to decide that this was more than just a fun project; this was to be a full time endeavor. Since that unanimous decision, Zamora's objective has been to create truly honest music in every aspect of the word; from the melodies, to the rhythms, to the lyrical content The band's collective experiences include years of studying, recording, and performing rock, pop, jazz, fusion, metal, gospel, and blues, all of which are expressively drawn upon --genuinely--from their hearts. At the start of 2004 the members of Zamora began recording their first EP to be released. Drums were meticulously engineered by Scott Rust, an engineer in Half Moon Bay who builds and develops his own microphones, attaining a more natural sound than could be found elsewhere. In the months that followed, the band spent long hours in John’s home studio recording guitars, bass and vocals. At Zamora's request, mixing was handled by producer Dave Dominguez, who has worked with such prominent bands as Guns ‘n Roses, Ima Robot, and Staind. For finishing touches we went to the Workhouse studio in San Jose and had Mark Johnson master the project. In the latter of 2004 Zamora will be relocating to Boston, MA to expand musically and personally as musicians and friends. Look for the debut recording by Zamora this summer, and don’t miss them live in performance.Tsunami: Has re released their hit song "The Run Around" on this latest album? Recorded and Mastered at the Workhouse recording studio in San Jose Ca.Coyote slim: Professionally recorded by Mark Johnson at Workhouse Recording Studio in San Jose, CA, "In My Own Time" begins with the declaration of bluesiness entitled "Driftin' in My Own Time," Slim's combination, in his mostly his own words with some traditional verses thrown in, of both "Driftin' Blues" and "Hobo Blues" by Charles Brown and John Lee Hooker, respectively. "I don't care what people say about me," Slim declares, as he plays a droning John Lee-like guitar accompaniment on his old Stella. Slim is possibly thinking, if one is to take in account the title, of his supposedly bizarre timing, but continues by saying, "I ain't gonna pay that no mind." The album moves on to Slim's lament for a woman that won't pay him any attention, sounding like a combination between Lonnie Johnson and Son House in "You Don't Love Me," full of crisp, sharp single-string guitar runs that are perhaps unexpected in a man known more for his slide playing. The slide is not unpresent though, as the album then moves on into the traditional tune "Drop Down Mama," played on his old Kay through an equally ancient tube-amp, with excellent double-entendre lyrics andpercussive slide. Slim returns to the theme of unfulfilled love in "Blue Creole," sung, and partially shouted, entirely in Louisiana Creole. "Dit moi quoi-faire" Slim implores his woman, asking, or rather demanding, her to tell him why she has chosen another. The album moves through the traditional "Jinx Blues" to the African instrumental "Sahel Stomp," in which Slim makes his dobro sound like some type of West African spike-lute. Electricity and slide reappear in "Baby, Please Don't Go," and "Banty Rooster Blues”, while crisp, string-bending runs and dampened bass predominate in "Did You Get that Letter?" A droning, trancy guitar accompanies the tune "Blues Won't Let Me Take My Rest," while slashing slide and bouncy polyrhythms, and racy verses shine in "Drop Poor Me a Line
